The Lions put on a show Sunday against the Commanders and Jared Goff’s fiancée Christen Harper had a front-row seat.
As Detroit ran away with a 36-27 win over Washington, Harper shared some of the game-day happenings at Ford Field on her Instagram, notably the moment a fan held up an “I [heart] Goff” sign.
Goff threw for 256 yards, four touchdowns and zero interceptions to help the Lions secure their first win of the season. Detriot will travel to Minnesota next week for an NFC North showdown against the Vikings.
Earlier on Sunday, Harper — who announced her engagement to Goff in June — posted a pre-game photo from home.
“Go @detroitlionsnfl,” the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model captioned her Instagram Story.
The Lions have plenty to celebrate following a challenging 2021 campaign, in which they finished the year at 3-13-1. The team didn’t record their first win until December.
Harper, who was first linked to Goff in 2019, remembers the Lions’ first win from last season fondly. In fact, she was on the set of a Sports Illustrated Swimsuit shoot when she received the news.
“This is their first win,” Harper exclaimed at the time. “This is crazy.”
Goff spent the first five seasons of his career with the Rams. He was traded to Detroit in January 2021, with Los Angeles acquiring longtime Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford.
